Nothing deep or intriguing, just a status update! :)
We have now officially started the process. Last Wednesday, Oct. 15, we submitted our official application for a Guatemalan adoption to our agency, EAC.
As some of you may know, Guatemala has been closed for adoptions for the past 10 months as they reformed the adoption policies. It is our prayer that they begin to open back up at the beginning of 2009 as most agencies are anticipating. For more information, please feel free to visit the link to EAC in the right hand column of our blog.
For now, we will receive updates from our agency concerning Guatemalan adoptions, but for the most part, we just wait.
We'll keep you informed!

hey guys its abbie (roose) stever! i wanted to let you know my husband and i will be praying for you and your journey. i look forward to hearing all of your updates! ;)
Hi there. My supervisor (I think she knows your parents?) passed along your blog link because we brought home our son from Guatemala almost 6 months ago. He is a dream come true! It was definitely a long journey, but so incredible, so life-changing, and we would do it all over again for our son. In fact, we are also hoping and praying that Guatemala reopens with a viable program. Our hearts also pulled us to Guatemala and it is not something you can simply "explain" to anyone.
Feel free to take a look at our blog as well. I started it shortly after we received the referral of our son. EAC has a wonderful reputation so I will also be keeping an eye on what they tell you! Best wishes.
